Minister: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan - fraternal countries with common future
Kazakh Minister of Information and Social Development Darkhan Kydyrali has said that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan not only are neighbouring countries.
“Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are also fraternal countries with common historical traditions and a common future,” Kydyrali told APA.
He expressed hope for further strengthening of cooperation in the future.
“Azerbaijani films were demonstrated on Kazakh television during a week. “Dede Gorgud” and other films are very popular in Kazakhstan. We will organise a week of Azerbaijani TV series in Kazakhstan soon. Numerous forums are also being held in Astana and Baku now. Many people from our countries visit these forums. The translation and publication of books by our writers unite our peoples even more in the field of culture and information,” the minister said.
The minister noted that the foundation of the school to be built by Kazakhstan has been laid in Karabakh.
“All these are steps taken for our future ties to be strong. At the same time, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have very strong ties in the information sphere, book publishing, co-production of films, and television. Of course, this is not enough, we hope that ties in this sphere will become even stronger. Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan signed the declaration on friendly relations and strategic partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan. I think that our ties in the economic, political, informational and youth spheres will develop even more within this declaration. Our ties are also expanding within international organisations. I would like to mention the International Turkic Academy, the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States, TURKSOY and the Organisation of Turkic States, since the Organisation of Turkic States was established in Nakhchivan in 2009, the merit of Azerbaijan in relations in the Turkic world is very great. Bilateral cooperation is also developing rapidly. We hope that relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will develop even faster,” Kydyrali added.
