Minister: Azerbaijan strongly supports youth development and entrepreneurship
Youth policy in Azerbaijan is being successfully implemented, according to Youth and Sports Minister Farid Gayibov, who spoke at the Eurasia Young Business Forum (EYBF2025) in Baku.
The minister emphasised that the foundations of Azerbaijan’s youth policy were laid by the nation’s great leader, Heydar Aliyev, and have been effectively continued under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
Gaibov highlighted the state’s active role in supporting youth development and promoting entrepreneurship, stating:
“The state organizes various forums in this sphere. We have already held the youth forum four times in collaboration with KOBİA. In parallel, startup competitions and innovation contests are conducted, and we support the winners’ participation in international events.”
He added that hosting international-level events in Azerbaijan creates new opportunities for young entrepreneurs.
The EYBF2025 officially commenced on November 1 in Baku. The one-day forum brought together more than 3,000 young entrepreneurs from 50 countries, alongside over 5,000 total participants, making it one of the largest gatherings of emerging business leaders in the region.
The forum features high-impact discussions and networking across key areas critical to business growth, including:
-
B2B meetings to foster direct partnerships
-
Regional trade and investment opportunities
-
Startup ecosystem development and e-commerce strategies
-
Technology transfer and innovation
-

-
Other forward-looking topics shaping the future of Eurasian entrepreneurship
The event provides a platform for participants to exchange ideas, establish partnerships, and explore new avenues for business innovation and youth-led economic development.
