Minister: Chinese companies may become operators of Azerbaijan's regional airports

Minister of Digital Development and Transportation Rashad Nabiyev has said that Azerbaijan and China discussed the training of pilots, as well as the organization of training for this purpose.

Nabiyev made the relevant remarks on his account X social media account, Caliber.Az reports.

According to him, during his visit to China, he met with Song Zhiyong, head of the China Civil Aviation Administration, which forms the aviation policy of this country and discussed the development of cooperation between the countries.

"We exchanged views with China on increasing direct flights and destinations, as well as the possibility for Chinese companies to become operators of regional airports in Azerbaijan," the minister said.

Azerbaijan discussed with China the creation of electric bus production enterprises in the country, Nabiyev wrote on his X social media account.

“During a trip to China, we met with the management of leading transport companies - Yutong and Zhongtong. We discussed the use of electric buses within the framework of projects implemented in the direction of providing mobility in Baku, as well as the creation of production facilities by these companies in our country,” he said.
