Minister: Iraq interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iraq Nasir Mammadov met with Iraqi Minister of Trade Atheer Al-Ghurairy on January 24.

The current bilateral trade, economic relations and prospects for their development were discussed at the meeting, according to Caliber.Az.

Mammadov informed the Iraqi minister about the ongoing economic reforms in Azerbaijan, transport infrastructure and the Alat free economic zone. Azerbaijan is interested in expanding trade and economic ties with Iraq.

Atheer Al-Ghurairy noted that Baghdad is also interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in all spheres, including trade and economy.

The importance of frequent visits of businessmen and officials was noted during the conversation.
