Minister Jabbarov, ACWA Power CEO discuss boosting renewable energy in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has shared a publication on social network X in connection with the World Economic Forum held in Davos.

“Within the framework of President Ilham Aliyev’s participation in the Davos Economic Forum, we were pleased to meet with Marco Arcelli, the CEO of ACWA Power. Our discussions focused on increasing the share of renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan’s energy ecosystem, the importance of initiatives implemented in collaboration with ACWA Power, and the jointly realised projects,” Caliber.Az quotes Jabbarov as saying.

The 55th annual World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, commenced on January 20, 2025, bringing together global leaders to discuss pressing economic and geopolitical issues. Key topics include trade dynamics, economic growth, and international cooperation. These include responding to geopolitical shocks, stimulating growth to improve living standards, and stewarding a just and inclusive energy transition.
