Minister: Türkiye, Azerbaijan agree on transit transportation

Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoglu has said that Türkiye and Azerbaijan agreed on transit transportation.

Karaismailoglu made the remarks at the second trilateral meeting of the foreign and transport ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Türkiye in Aktau, Report informs.

He said that Türkiye attaches great importance to the idea of passenger transportation on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars route.

"Attention to our region is growing every day," the minister stressed.

The official added that after the opening of the Zangazur corridor, the construction of the Nakhchivan-Kars railway will be completed.

"This will expand ties between our countries," he emphasised.
