Moldova, Azerbaijan discuss expanding trade, sectoral cooperation
Moldova’s State Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Sergiu Mihov, and Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Moldova, Ulvi Bahshaliyev, have held talks on strengthening bilateral cooperation, with a focus on trade, economic ties, and sectoral collaboration.
According to Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting highlighted the positive momentum in relations between the two countries and reviewed key priorities on the bilateral agenda, Caliber.Az reports.
The two sides discussed plans to coordinate and carry out bilateral visits in the coming year, as well as preparations for the next round of interministerial political consultations and a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which is expected to take place in Chisinau.
The discussions also covered the expansion of the bilateral legal framework, recent developments in regional security, and practical ways to deepen cooperation across various economic sectors.
In addition, both parties underscored the importance of continued collaboration within international organisations as part of their broader partnership.
