Moldova's opposition party accuses president of power abuse
13 February 2023 18:37
Marina Tauber, vice-chairman of the opposition Moldovan Shor party, said at a briefing that the head of the republic, Maia Sandu, is trying to usurp power.
“We all understand why these statements were made. In fact, this is a clear attempt to usurp power in the country. Neither Moscow, nor Washington, nor Brussels stand behind us, but only the citizens of Moldova,” she said, according to Gazeta.Ru.
Earlier, Moldovan President Maia Sandu informed that there were attempts to change the constitutional order in the republic. Tauber commented on these statements.
The vice-chairman of the party also pointed out that Sandu made this statement when the Shor party renewed its protests against rising energy prices and tariffs.
