MP: Azerbaijan's inflation exceeds global average by 1.5 times

The current inflation in Azerbaijan exceeds the global one by 1.5 times.

The remarks came from MP Ali Masimli at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on economic policy, industry and entrepreneurship, according to Report.

"Last year, in Azerbaijan, overall prices rose by 13.9 per cent and food prices by around 20 per cent. Often purchased products become more expensive faster, but this is not taken into account. Only imported inflation is taken into account. The reports of all official government agencies, starting from the Cabinet of Ministers, reflect only imported inflation," he said.
