New Azerbaijani association to come up with proposals for agritourism development
The newly-created Azerbaijan Agritourism Association public union will prepare proposals for additions and amendments to the legislation for the development of agricultural tourism.
“We are currently studying the problems of those involved in agritourism and, by summarising them, we plan to put forward certain proposals to solve them. The biggest advantage of agritourism is that farmers, using local products and available opportunities, increase the region's income and help to overcome economic difficulties,” Report quotes Association Chairman Elchin Akbarov as saying on June 24.
He said the farmer's sociability, friendliness and hospitality are some of the first signs that determine customer satisfaction.
“Those involved in agritourism must have knowledge of how to understand what tourists want, develop products and services to meet those desires and offer them to people. Without the right approach, even the best-run agritourism enterprises will never achieve the desired success. That’s why we want agritourism enterprises to build the right business and marketing strategy,” Akbarov clarified.
