New Azerbaijani-capital companies in Türkiye rise 91.2%
In the first quarter of 2026, 65 new companies with Azerbaijani capital were established in Türkiye, marking a 91.2 per cent increase compared with the same period in 2025, according to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).
Of the newly registered firms, seven were joint-stock companies, up 75 per cent year on year, while 58 were limited liability companies, an increase of 93.3 per cent, local media reports.
The total capital of the companies established during the reporting period reached 181.587 million Turkish lira (around $4.05 million), more than five times higher than a year earlier.
Some 91.4 per cent of this amount — 165.964 million lira (about $3.70 million) — was contributed solely by Azerbaijani nationals, representing a 5.3-fold increase compared with the first three months of 2025.
In March alone, Azerbaijani citizens set up 17 companies in Türkiye, up 54.5 per cent year on year. Of these, three were joint-stock companies, tripling from the previous year, while 14 were limited liability companies, up 40 per cent.
Azerbaijani investors accounted for 87 per cent of the capital in joint ventures, which totalled 16.775 million lira (about $374,000). Of this, 14.6 million lira (around $326,000) belonged to Azerbaijani shareholders, up 42.4 per cent year on year.
