OPEC data show slight decline in Azerbaijan’s oil production
Azerbaijan’s daily oil production stood at 458,000 barrels in May 2026, down by 2,000 barrels from the previous month, data by OPEC confirmed.
Under the OPEC+ agreement, Azerbaijan’s oil production quota for 2026 is set at 551,000 barrels per day. Actual output in May therefore remained 93,000 barrels below the country’s allocated production ceiling, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
In the first quarter of 2026, Azerbaijan’s average daily oil production amounted to 454,000 barrels.
The figures indicate a continuation of the country’s gradual decline in oil output recorded in recent years. In 2025, Azerbaijan’s daily oil production averaged 461,000 barrels. Quarterly averages stood at 466,000 barrels per day in the first quarter, 461,000 in the second quarter, 459,000 in the third quarter, and 458,000 in the fourth quarter.
