Opposition party MP calls Armenia as non-sovereign country
Anna Grigoryan, a member of Parliament (MP) from the "Armenia" faction has described Armenia as non-sovereign country.
"The Armenian government is losing the negotiation process, which is equal to war, and the Armenian leader at the same time says that Armenia has frozen its membership in the only existing security structure, and this is not normal," Grigoryan said in an interview with Armenian media, Caliber.Az reports.
"Basically, with no alternative security mechanism, Pashinyan has turned Armenia into a theater of conflict of geopolitical interests. There is a Russian base on the border with Türkiye, there is talk of placing EU observers there, but what would this observer do there? Or look at the village of Nerkin-Hand, this small village demonstrates the policy pursued by Pashinyan. After all, it is impossible to have a Russian border guard in one site and EU observers in another, and you are in the middle. Is this a sovereign country? I appeal to the authorities, if Russia and the West decide what will happen, so go ahead and defend your sovereignty.
As for the cracks inside the government, particularly the resignation of Edmon Marukyan, I think the reason for Marukyan's departure is the possible early elections," the MP added.
