Over $80 million to be invested in industrial parks in liberated Azerbaijani lands
About 138 million Azerbaijani manats ($81 million) will be invested in 24 projects registered in the Aghdam Industrial Park and the Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park (Jabrayil) in the Karabakh and East Zangazur regions of Azerbaijan.
The information came from the First Deputy Chairman of the Economic Zones Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy Ravayat Mustafayev, per Report.
According to him, at present, 18 residents and 6 non-residents are registered in the industrial parks located in the territories liberated from the occupation.
“They invest 117 million manats ($68 million) in Aghdam and 21 million manats ($12 million) in Jabrayil. As a result, almost 1.3 thousand jobs are expected to be created. In the Agdam industrial park, it is mainly planned to produce building materials, and process and package agricultural products, and in the Araz Valley Economic Zone industrial park, it is planned to create a logistics centre, build a customs terminal, a centre for the repair of machinery and equipment, warehouses for wholesale and retail trade," Mustafayev said.
