Pakistan gains approval to export meat to Azerbaijan
Pakistan has received official approval to export meat to Azerbaijan after meeting the country’s stringent veterinary and food safety standards, the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) announced.
The approval follows the Animal Quarantine Department’s successful compliance with Azerbaijan’s regulatory requirements, marking a key milestone in bilateral trade relations, Caliber.Az reports per Bloom Pakistan.
To capitalise on this development, TDAP has organised a series of initiatives aimed at expanding Pakistani meat exports in Azerbaijan. In November 2025, a delegation of Pakistani meat exporters is scheduled to visit Baku, the Azerbaijani capital, to explore business opportunities and strengthen market presence. Additionally, leading Azerbaijani importers are being invited to Pakistan’s upcoming trade exhibition to foster direct business connections.
TDAP official Ather Hussain Khokhar emphasised that the approval underscores the "superior quality of Pakistani meat and reinforces the country’s global reputation as a reliable halal producer."
