Pakistani travel companies visit Azerbaijan to explore tourism opportunities PHOTO
A delegation of leading Pakistani travel companies is visiting Azerbaijan this week to explore tourism and business cooperation, according to the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan.
From August 16 to 22, 10 prominent Pakistani travel companies are on a business mission in Azerbaijan, organised with the support of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board and in partnership with the Pakistan International Travel Exhibition, "Pakistan Travel Mart," Caliber.Az reports via the agency.
During the visit, participants toured Azerbaijan’s cultural, historical, and natural attractions and took part in B2B meetings with local tourism industry representatives. A key meeting, attended by around 50 Azerbaijani companies, focused on opportunities for mutual cooperation and tourism exchange.
The State Tourism Agency highlighted that Azerbaijan currently has direct flights from Lahore and Islamabad. Between January and July 2025, more than 46,000 Pakistani citizens visited the country, marking a 16% increase compared to the same period last year.
This initiative reflects growing tourism ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, as both countries aim to strengthen cultural and business exchanges in the travel sector.
