Patriarch Kirill of Moscow & All Russia congrats Caucasus Muslim leader on his birthday

Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has sent a congratulatory message to Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazada, Chairman of the Board of Caucasus Muslims, in celebration of his birthday.

The message, delivered by Metropolitan Anthony, head of the Patriarch's delegation and the Department for External Church Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church, was read out during a meeting with Sheikh ul-Islam Pashazada on August 26, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

In his message, Metropolitan Anthony commended the Chairman of the BCM for his dedicated efforts in fostering strong relations between religion and state, as well as his contributions to progress and peace.

On behalf of Patriarch Kirill, Metropolitan Anthony awarded Sheikh ul-Islam Pashazada the Order of Saint Alexis, the Metropolitan of Kyiv, Moscow, and All Russia.
