Poll reveals borders Azerbaijanis wish to recognise Armenian territory
Azerbaijan has conducted an opinion poll to learn about the borders within which the Azerbaijanis want to recognise the territory.
The question "Within what borders do you recognise the territory of the Armenian state?" was asked in a poll conducted by the Centre for Social Research among the population on December 5-11, 2022, APA reports.
According to the analysis of the poll results, 22.6 per cent of respondents recognise the territory of the Armenian state within the borders during the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic period [1918-20], 16.2 per cent - within the borders during the existence of the Soviet Union, 11.5 per cent - within the borders after the 44-day Patriotic War, within the borders that will be established now. Some 41.3 per cent of those polled answered that they do not recognise the territory of the Armenian state. Some 3.3 per cent of the polled gave other answers to this question. A total of 5.1 per cent of respondents found it difficult to answer the question.
It should be noted that 390 respondents over the age of 18 took part in the survey on a voluntary basis. The polls were conducted in the form of telephone interviews and covered 12 economic districts. The selection framework was determined in accordance with the international methodology and in proportion to the population. With a 95 per cent interval of the accuracy of the poll results, the margin of error is 5 per cent.
