PowerChina eyes investment in Azerbaijan's green energy sector PHOTO

Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with the President of PowerChina Resources Ltd., Yang Tianfu, to explore opportunities for enhanced collaboration between Azerbaijan and China in the field of green energy.

The meeting, held with representatives from the Ministry of Economy, focused on strengthening economic ties with Chinese business circles, emphasizing the business-friendly environment and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry's press service.

The discussion highlighted Azerbaijan's commitment to improving energy efficiency and advancing renewable energy as key priorities in the country's development agenda.

Azerbaijan offers vast potential for partnerships aimed at establishing enterprises in the renewable energy sector, particularly in green energy, a field of growing importance.

During the talks, the parties discussed the prospects for joint investment projects, as well as the application of new technologies in renewable energy use.

Additionally, the exchange covered innovative mechanisms for resource optimization, the creation of industrial parks with zero emissions, and various opportunities for collaboration to further strengthen Azerbaijan’s position as a leader in sustainable energy development.
