President Aliyev: This year Azerbaijan to increase gas exports to Europe by about 30-40%

We have been implementing our energy projects for many years. Simply put, the current geopolitical situation in the world has sharply increased the demand for our resources. It just so happens that at a time when all our projects were ready, the demand for gas in Europe increased even more.

According to Caliber.Az, President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks in an interview with Azerbaijani TV channels in Prague.

"This year we will increase gas exports to Europe by about 30-40 per cent. This requires large investments. We are ready and we are going for it. According to the memorandum signed with the European Union, we plan to at least double gas exports to Europe in the coming years," he stressed.
