President Erdogan: Türkiye carrying out final tests on Kizilelma

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has drawn attention to the achievements in the Turkish defence industry.

“We are emboldened by every step taken in the defence industry. The Turkish KAAN national combat aircraft is one of the new products. The pinnacle of Baykar defence company is the Kizilelma drone. The final tests of Kizilelma are underway,” the Turkish leader told journalists after his visit to Algeria, TRT Haber reports.

The president stressed the need to solve the problem with the production of domestic engines as soon as possible.

“If more efforts are made in this sphere, Türkiye will be able to put domestic unmanned aircraft into operation much faster,” he noted.

The Turkish leader noted that just a few years ago, Türkiye did not have its own unmanned aerial vehicles, smart munitions, and MILGEM (ships), but thanks to the efforts of the Turkish people, the country has reached its current level.

“We continue working. There is always something better and more advanced, we will look for it. We should move towards these goals at a steady pace. We must have the best engineer, the best software developer, the best specialist and the best designer. These new steps are obvious. No one should worry, we will be famous in the defence industry and in other spheres,” the president added.
