Priorities defined for Azerbaijani-Israeli cooperation

There are great opportunities for cooperation with Israel in energy, trade, industry, agriculture, innovation, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, tourism and other fields.

It was noted at the Azerbaijani-Israeli business forum held in Baku, Report informs.

The Azerbaijani-Israeli business forum, organized by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), was attended by companies representing the energy, finance, logistics, chemical industry, water, agriculture and other industries.

Co-chairman of the Joint Commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Israel, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov emphasized the significance of the business forum, various meetings and events held to discuss topical issues, identify priority areas of cooperation and establish new ties between the business community. It was noted that the strong bilateral friendly relations between the two countries and high-level political ties have created favorable conditions for the dynamic development of economic cooperation.

The Joint Commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Israel and the Israel-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry are of great importance for development of trade and economic partnership. Many Israeli companies are operating in Azerbaijan and implement a number of important projects.

The event highly appreciated and supported business initiatives by Israeli companies in Azerbaijan.

Co-chairman of the Joint Commission on the Israeli side, Foreign Minister Eli Cohen underlined that projects implemented in Azerbaijan, the country's unique geographical position and economic stability create important conditions for Israeli companies for cooperation and investment. It was noted that the opening of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Israel allows raising the ties between the countries to a higher level.

Presentations of Azerbaijan and Israel investment projects were held during the forum, and meetings in B2B and B2G formats were arranged.
