Azerbaijan to send next petroleum shipment to Armenia on January 8
Azerbaijan will deliver a new shipment of petroleum products to Armenia on January 8, 2026, through the Guzdek railway station and the Baku freight station.
The consignment will include 1,000 tons of RON 92 gasoline, 1,000 tons of diesel, and 1,800 tons of RON 95 gasoline, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Azerbaijan’s delivery of petroleum products to Armenia continues a newly established commercial trade route that began in December 2025, as part of broader efforts to normalise economic ties between the two countries.
On December 18, 2025, Azerbaijan dispatched the first batch of 1,220 tons of locally produced gasoline to Armenia under an agreement reached by the deputy prime ministers of both states in Gabala, marking the first fuel export between Baku and Yerevan in decades.
Armenia’s economy minister later indicated that Azerbaijan’s gasoline deliveries are intended to be continuous, reflecting both sides’ interest in stable energy trade even as political agreements continue to be implemented.
