Pundit: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan witness positive dynamics in development of relations
There is a positive dynamic in the development of Azerbaijani-Kazakhstani relations, Farid Shafiyev, chairman of the Center for Analysis of International Relations (AIR) said.
He was speaking at a roundtable on bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Report says.
According to him, the result of the work of representatives of the two countries, intergovernmental commissions, and various ministries is clearly visible. "Last year a large number of meetings were held between the sides to discuss issues related to energy, transport, and others," he said.
Shafiyev stressed that the visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Kazakhstan in the near future will be another milestone in the development of bilateral relations.
"I would also like to note the recent positive changes we see in Kazakhstan. These are the implemented reforms, the complete delimitation of Kazakhstan's borders with Uzbekistan, and the strengthening of security measures," he said, adding that this is also important for Azerbaijan, as the South Caucasus is linked to Central Asia historically and economically.
