Railway to Zangezur corridor hits 70% construction milestone

Construction of the Horadiz-Aghband railway line, which will connect to the Zangezur corridor, has reached 70% completion, while design work is reported to be 85% finished.

Officials highlighted the strategic significance of the project, noting that the railway will not only stimulate economic development in the recently liberated territories but also link the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.

The line is set to become a key component of a new transport corridor extending all the way to Türkiye.

The project is seen as a major step in enhancing regional connectivity and strengthening Azerbaijan’s transportation infrastructure.
