Red Cross mission check on Armenians held in Azerbaijan

Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited Armenians held in Azerbaijan on September 23.

The head of the public relations department of the ICRC office in Azerbaijan, Ilaha Huseynova, made the relevant announcement, Caliber.Az reports.

An individual meeting was held with these persons and contact was established with their families, she said.

“In line with the mandate of the ICRC, during such visits, the treatment of these persons and the conditions of their detention are assessed. The ICRC also creates conditions for the resumption and continuation of ties between these persons and their families,” Huseynova emphasised.
