Restructuring takes place in parks department of Baku administration

Azerbaijan's prime minister is restructuring two national entities that are responsible for some of the capital's most luscious recreational green zones.

According to the decision signed by PM Ali Asadov, the public legal entities of "Central Botanical Garden" and "Dendrological Garden" are being merged into a single limited liability company, as Caliber.Az reports.

Both bodies were operating under the subordination of the City Executive Authorities and will continue to do so in the newly merged entity, titled "Central Botanical and Dendrological Garden”. 

The newly established structure will have a maximum staff of 230 employees.

The Dendrology Garden is located in the Mardakan settlement just outside of Baku city, and spreads across an estate that was formerly the private garden of the early 20th-century oil industrialist, millionaire and one of Baku's greatest philanthropists of that era, Murtuza Mukhtarov. 

The Central Botanical Garden, formed in the early 20th century, is dedicated to plant conservation and is located on the hillside in the Badamdar district of the capital.
