Romania reduces imports of Azerbaijani oil

In January–February 2026, Azerbaijan exported 286,300 tonnes of oil to Romania, down 0.09% compared to the same period last year, according to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, cited by Report.

The value of the delivered oil amounted to $140.7 million, a decrease of 14.2% from last year. Romania accounted for 7.95% of Azerbaijan’s total oil exports over the two months.

In total, Azerbaijan exported 3.6 million tonnes of oil worth $1.7 billion in January–February 2026.
