Russia aims to become one of global leaders in unmanned aviation by 2030
By 2030, Russia must rank among the world’s technological leaders in the field of unmanned aerial systems, said President Vladimir Putin.
During a meeting on unmanned aviation development in Tolyatti, the president highlighted the necessity of supplying the country’s industry and economy with various types of drones, as well as domestically produced components and parts, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
"Our goal is much broader: by 2030, Russia must rank among the global technological leaders in the field of unmanned aerial systems," Putin said. "To achieve this, we need to build a powerful industry, infrastructure, and a drone service system based on domestic technological and production platforms, both within the country and abroad."
Putin emphasized that this sector will play a crucial role in Russia’s technological advancement.
He noted that the country has all the necessary resources to achieve this goal, including the vast potential of Russian scientists, designers, and engineers.
