Russia reports downing of 158 Ukrainian drones in massive overnight attack
In the early hours of April 9, Russian air defense forces shot down a total of 158 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over various regions of Russia.
The military intercepted and destroyed 67 drones over Krasnodar Krai, 29 over the Rostov region, 15 over North Ossetia–Alania, 11 over the Voronezh region, and 10 over the Kursk region, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Telegram channel of the Russian Defence Ministry.
Additionally, five UAVs were intercepted over the Belgorod region and two over the Penza region. One drone was shot down over each of the Saratov and Oryol regions, as well as over Stavropol Krai.
Seven enemy drones were downed over the Sea of Azov and another six over the Black Sea.
Earlier, the ministry revealed that Russian forces shot down three JDAM guided aerial bombs and seven U.S.-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers.
