Ukrainian drone strike triggers blaze at oil depot in Russia's Krasnodar
A fire broke out at an oil depot in the industrial zone of the city of Labinsk in Russia’s Krasnodar Region following a drone attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the regional operational headquarters’ press service said on March 16.
“Four fire crews, personnel of fire and rescue units, and specialists from the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Krasnodar Territory are involved in extinguishing the blaze,” the operational headquarters said on its Telegram channel, per Caliber.Az.
According to preliminary data, no one was injured.
On the same night, several explosions were heard over Yaroslavl. According to preliminary reports, air defence forces were repelling an aerial attack by Ukrainian drones, the Telegram channel Shot reported. No official information about casualties or damage has been released.
On the evening of March 15, air defence systems destroyed 28 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory within three hours, the Russian Defence Ministry’s press service said.
Earlier, on the night of March 15, one of the drones struck an apartment building in the Sovetsky district of Volgograd, Governor Andrei Bocharov of the Volgograd Region said. He noted that the strike shattered windows in several apartments, but no one was injured.
