Russia shoots down 77 Ukrainian drones overnight, most over Saratov

Russian air defence forces destroyed 77 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over various regions of the country overnight, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported on December 7 via its Telegram channel.

“During the past night, air defence units intercepted and destroyed 77 aircraft-type Ukrainian drones,” the ministry’s statement read, per Caliber.Az.

According to the Ministry of Defence, the largest number of drones—42—was shot down over the Saratov region.

Another 12 were destroyed over the Rostov region, 10 over Crimea, and nine over the Volgograd region. In addition, two UAVs were shot down over the Belgorod region, and one each over the Astrakhan region and the Chechen Republic.
