Russia successfully intercepts over 40 drones over key regions
The Russian Defence Ministry has stated that the air defence systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 48 Ukrainian drones on the night of February 28, targeting multiple regions across Russia.
The interception occurred in various areas, with the majority of drones being downed in the Tver and Crimea regions, Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry.
The air defence forces took down 21 drones over the Tver region, 11 over Crimea, and 5 over the Bryansk region. Additionally, 3 drones were destroyed over Belgorod and Rostov regions, 2 each over Smolensk and Lipetsk regions, and 1 over the Kursk region.
Earlier, the Russian Defence Ministry announced that its air defence systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 22 Ukrainian drones across five regions of Russia on the night of February 27. According to the ministry, during the past night, air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 22 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles [UAVs]: 8 UAVs over the Oryol region, 7 UAVs over the Kursk region, 4 UAVs over the Bryansk region, 1 UAV over the Smolensk region, and 2 UAVs over the Krasnodar region.
