Russian billionaires’ fortune up by $18 billion
The total fortune of the richest Russian businessmen during three months of 2024 increased by $18.293 billion.
The fortune of co-founder of EuroChem and Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) Andrei Melnichenko greatly increased by $5.29 billion to $24.1 billion. The biggest losses were suffered by founder of USM Holdings, Alisher Usmanov, whose fortune decreased by $2.8 billion to $18.3 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI).

Vladimir Potanin $31.8 billion
Potanin is the president of Norilsk Nickel, the world's largest producer of high-grade nickel.

According to a ranking by the Chinese Hurun research institute, published in March, six more billionaires appeared in Russia over the past year. So, Russia remained in the top 10, ranking seventh with 76 billionaires. The authors of the rating also note the growing “migration of billionaires”. The US, the UK, Switzerland and Singapore are among the most preferred countries.
