Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan have reached an agreement in Moscow.

An agreement on the cessation of the activity of Russian border guards at Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport and at the checkpoints on the border with Azerbaijan has been reached, Caliber.Az reports.

Head of the ruling parliamentary faction of the Civil Contract party Hayk Konjoryan has confirmed this information on Facebook.

Konjoryan noted that all Russian border guards and servicemen serving in five districts of Armenia after 2020 will cease their activity.

“In accordance with the agreement, Russian border guards and servicemen serving during the 44-day war and after it in the Tavush, Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik and Ararat districts of Armenia will cease their activity,” he wrote.

He added that the decision to stop the activity of Russian border guards at Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport was also approved at the highest level.
