Russian Himtek Engineering to build chemical plant in Azerbaijan's Sumgayit
The Economic Zones Development Agency (İZİA) of Azerbaijan has signed a memorandum of understanding with Russian Himtek Engineering OJSC.
The document was signed by Chairman of İZİA Seymur Adigozalov and General Director of Himtek Engineering Sergey Lugovskoy, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Economy.
"On the territory of Sumgayit Chemical-Industrial Park it is planned to implement the project of Himtek Engineering OJSC production of chemical products. In case of implementation of the project worth $100 million, 100 permanent jobs will be created at the enterprise," the information says.
According to the ministry, the annual production capacity of the enterprise will be 15 thousand tonnes. It is planned to export manufactured products to Russia in addition to their sale in the Azerbaijani market.
