Russian regions face intensive drone interceptions
Russian air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 75 drones over the country's regions on the night of July 21 to 22.
As many as 47 UAVs were shot down over Rostov region, eight drones over Krasnodar region, one each over Belgorod, Voronezh and Smolensk regions, and another 17 UAVs over the waters of the Black and Azov seas, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Russian Defence Ministry.
The Krasnodar region's operative headquarters confirmed that the wreckage from the drones caused damage to the infrastructure of the Tuapse oil refinery, leading to a fire. The blaze, which covered an area of 50 square metres, was swiftly extinguished with no reported injuries.
The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations deployed 91 personnel and 31 units of equipment to localise and eliminate the fire. The specific refinery affected has not been disclosed.
