Saudi ambassador: December consultations in Baku to boost Azerbaijan-Saudi ties
Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia are preparing to hold the next round of inter-ministerial political consultations in Baku in December this year, Saudi Ambassador to Azerbaijan Essam bin Saleh al-Jutaili told domestic media.
“Political consultations are held annually. The last session was held in Riyadh in December 2024, and the next meeting is expected in December this year in Baku,” the ambassador said.
He emphasised with satisfaction the organisation of regular reciprocal visits at ministerial and higher levels.
“There is a very close coordination between the two countries on the issue of mutual visits, which serves as clear evidence of the strength of ties between the two brotherly states,” he added.
The ambassador also praised the work of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Joint Business Council, co-chaired by Orkhan Mammadov, head of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA).
“Meetings of the business council are held annually, and the last one was held in Azerbaijan. Saudi Arabia sent a wide delegation, which pleases me personally. The main goal is to strengthen cooperation in the field of trade,” Essam bin Saleh al-Jutaili concluded.
