Saudi Arabia to send minister-led delegation to WUF13 in Baku
Saudi Arabia’s delegation to the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) will be led by the Kingdom’s Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail.
According to local media, Al-Hogail will head the Saudi delegation at the event, which will take place in Baku from 17 to 22 May 2026.
The forum, known as World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13), is organised in close cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UN-Habitat. It serves as a global platform for exchanging expertise on sustainable urban development, smart cities, and innovative city planning solutions.
WUF13 is expected to bring together government officials, urban planners, and international experts to discuss responses to rapid urbanisation and infrastructure challenges worldwide.
The week-long event will be structured around four main themes: interdisciplinary urban dialogue, an innovation-focused laboratory for developing planning solutions, guided “urban routes” exploring the city’s architectural evolution, and a cultural programme examining urban issues through arts and creative expression.
