Slovakia sees growing energy partnership with Azerbaijan
Ján Kubiš, foreign policy adviser to the president of Slovakia, said relations between Slovakia and Azerbaijan remain strong and continue to develop, with significant potential for expanding economic and energy cooperation.
Speaking to Report News Agency on the sidelines of the Global Baku Forum, Kubiš
noted that the two countries have traditionally maintained close and friendly ties that are continuing to deepen.
“Our countries traditionally have strong and friendly relations, which continue to actively develop and deepen. I am convinced that there is significant potential for further cooperation, especially in the economic sphere,” he said.
Kubiš also highlighted growing cooperation in the energy sector and said both sides intend to strengthen it further.
“The issue of energy is already on the agenda. We are very pleased that the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, during a meeting with the President of Slovakia, Peter Pellegrini, and other members of the government, confirmed Azerbaijan’s readiness to supply hydrocarbons to Slovakia using various transit routes,” Kubiš added.
