SOCAR, ACWA Power discuss green hydrogen, sustainable energy partnership
The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power have engaged in discussions about potential cooperation in the production of green hydrogen, decarbonization, and other sustainable energy solutions.
The talks occurred during a meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Marco Arcelli, CEO of ACWA Power. Both parties highlighted the successful trajectory of their partnership, which continues to evolve positively, SOCAR told Caliber.Az.
The two companies agreed that their collaboration on various projects would significantly contribute to the advancement of renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan, with a particular focus on green hydrogen production and reducing carbon emissions. This partnership aims to play a vital role in Azerbaijan’s energy transition and sustainability goals.
ACWA Power, known for its leadership in renewable energy in Saudi Arabia, continues to make its mark globally as a developer, investor, and operator in renewable energy and desalination projects in various countries.
