SOCAR and ABB discuss energy transition, digitalisation

On October 23, Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), met with Tor-Ove Lussand, Senior Vice President of Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) for Northern Europe.

The meeting focused on exchanging views on the energy transition, digitalisation, and resource management in industry through innovative technologies, Caliber.Az reports.

Najaf briefed his counterpart on Azerbaijan’s ongoing modernisation of its energy sector, efforts to reduce carbon emissions, and joint “green energy” projects implemented in partnership with international companies.

ABB is a leading global technology company providing power equipment and advanced solutions for the energy, transport, infrastructure, and industrial automation sectors.
