Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has written that the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and bp discussed the green energy transition.

“Together with Rovshan Najaf, the President of SOCAR, and our colleagues, we held a meeting with Murray Auchincloss, the CEO of bp. Our discussions centered on reviewing the outcomes of our bilateral cooperation and exploring opportunities for further collaboration. We also delved into joint initiatives in the realms of green energy transition, decarbonisation, as well as exploration and production. bp reiterated its dedication to strengthening the existing partnership with Azerbaijan and expressed keen interest in participating in renewable energy projects,” Caliber.Az reports citing Jabbarov’s message on X.
