SOCAR, bp explore joint participation in third-country projects
Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR and energy giant bp have discussed opportunities for joint involvement in various projects in third countries.
The talks took place during a meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Gordon Birrell, Executive Vice President for Production and Operations at bp, Caliber.Az reports per the state oil company.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the long-standing cooperation between SOCAR and BP and highlighted the importance of projects implemented together.
Discussions specifically covered upstream operations, including the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) and NAG (Non-Associated Gas) projects, Shah Deniz Compression, Karabakh, Ashrafi-Dan Ulduzu-Aypara, and Shafag-Asiman.
The meeting also included exchanges of views on midstream projects, renewable energy initiatives, and other areas of mutual interest.
