SOCAR, BP sign MoU on reducing methane emissions

SOCAR and BP have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on reducing methane emissions in the oil and gas sector, APA reports.

BP's statement said that the two organisations, which have signed up to the Methane Emission Reduction Policy, will share their experiences to teach and learn from others, share expertise and work closely together to pool their knowledge.

The document aims to improve methane emission reduction education, capacity development, measurement, reporting, verification, technology and technical knowledge.
