SOCAR, First Abu Dhabi Bank explore strategic cooperation opportunities

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR discussed potential strategic cooperation with the UAE’s largest financial institution, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), in the financial and energy sectors.

SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf shared the update on the social media platform X, noting that the meeting with FAB CEO Hana Al Rostamani took place during the 2026 World Economic Forum in Switzerland, Caliber.Az reports.

“The discussion highlighted SOCAR’s corporate strategy and long-term priorities, including energy security, innovation, digitalisation, and the energy transition. Green energy initiatives, low-carbon solutions, and pathways to ensuring the sustainable growth of the energy industry were also addressed,” he wrote.
