SOCAR, Honeywell launch Operational Technology Academy in Baku PHOTO
As part of the cooperation between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Honeywell, an Operational Technology Academy has been inaugurated at the Baku Higher Oil School.
SOCAR stated that the academy is seen as the next important step in developing human capital and advancing digitalisation, in line with SOCAR’s corporate strategy through 2035, Caliber.Az reports.
The academy will support the acceleration of digital transformation in SOCAR’s production units, enhance operational safety and reliability, and systematically develop the knowledge and skills of engineering and technical personnel.
Using a modern training infrastructure that simulates real production conditions, employees will be able to safely study and test complex automation processes. During the opening ceremony, guests were provided with detailed explanations of how the training simulation equipment operates.
Honeywell specialises in advanced solutions in automation, safety, and engineering technologies.
