SOCAR, INPEX discuss expanding energy cooperation at Baku energy week

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Japan’s INPEX Corporation have discussed opportunities to expand their cooperation and pursue new joint projects during a meeting held on the sidelines of Baku Energy Week.

SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Munehiro Hosono, Executive Director and Senior Vice President for Europe and Middle East Projects at INPEX Corporation, on June 3, Caliber.Az reports per SOCAR.

The two sides expressed satisfaction with the successful cooperation between SOCAR and INPEX, as well as INPEX’s active participation in projects implemented at Azerbaijan’s initiative.

The meeting focused on prospects for broadening cooperation across the energy sector and identifying opportunities for the implementation of joint projects. The parties also exchanged views on sharing industry expertise and discussed other matters of mutual interest.
