SOCAR, Islamic finance organisation discuss cooperation in digitalization PHOTO
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Islamic Corporation for Investment and Export Credit Insurance (ICIEC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) group, have considered potential opportunities for cooperation in energy, decarbonization and digitalization.
The discussions took place within the framework of SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf's meeting with ICIEC Director General Osama Qaissi, according to Report.
It was noted at the meeting that Azerbaijan and IsDB are successfully developing long-term cooperative relations. In particular, it was noted with satisfaction that last year Azerbaijan approved the "founding agreement of Islamic Corporation for Insurance of Investments and Export Credits".
Within the framework of the meeting, information was presented on investment projects implemented by SOCAR in the country and abroad, the long-term corporate strategy of the company, work being carried out in this direction and future goals.
The parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
