SOCAR, ITOCHU explore new areas of cooperation PHOTO
On November 25, the president of Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company (SOCAR), Rovshan Najaf, met with Tetsuya Yamada, chairman of the Azerbaijan–Japan Economic Committee and chief operating officer of ITOCHU Corporation, to discuss potential avenues for collaboration.
The meeting highlighted the successful development of mutually beneficial ties between Azerbaijan and Japan, Caliber.Az reports, citing SOCAR.
The parties welcomed the 12th session of the State Commission on Economic Cooperation between the two countries, which took place in Tokyo in September.
During the talks, SOCAR and ITOCHU exchanged views on ongoing joint projects and explored opportunities for further cooperation across different areas of the energy sector.
Discussions also covered oil and gas production and transportation, as well as the adoption of advanced industrial technologies.
